1 Million Dollars Lesson

The success story this time excerpted from the book A Million Dollar Lesson written by Petey Parker. Petey Parker is the one providing the basics of the core business through consultations and seminars for all walks of life. He brings an honest perspective as observers, providing strategic insight, and assist companies in finding solutions to the program and the corporate agenda. Here is his story ..

A taxi driver in Dallas has taught me how to meet expectations and customer satisfaction. A lesson worth one million dollars. Maybe you have to spend thousands of dollars to pay for a keynote or a professional speaker in a seminar or motivational training for company employees. But this time I just simply remove the taxi fare costing 12 dollars only.

Here's the story: One day I flew to Dallas to meet a client. Time is very narrow, because I have to get back to the airport. I stopped a taxi. Once stopped, the taxi driver immediately opened the car door for me, and I confirm that I have been sitting comfortably in it.

Once I got behind the wheel, he pointed to a Wall Street Journal newspaper that folded neatly beside me to read. Then he offered a few cassettes, and ask what kind of music I love. "Wow," I was quite surprised by his ministry. I turned around. There may be a program "Candid Camera" that want to trap and make fun of me. With curiosity I dared to ask the taxi driver was, "Gee, you seem very happy with your work.
Obviously you've got a long story about your work this "
"You are wrong," he replied, "I used to work in Corporate America (Please note this is a big company in America). But I feel tired because no matter how hard the business to be the best in the company, was never satisfy my heart. Then I decided to find a step in my life where I could feel proud and satisfied because it could be my best self. "
"I know," he continued, "I could never be a rocket scientist, but I love to drive a car and providing service to others. I want to feel that I have done the best job every day. Then, I pondered what so over me, and Wham .. I became a taxi driver. "
"One thing I believe, so I grabbed my success in this business, I just need to meet the needs of my passengers. But for my business is to be remarkable, I have to exceed the expectations of my passengers. Of course I want to achieve extraordinary results, rather than the mediocre. "
Waw, this is an extraordinary real lesson. Do you think I gave him a big tip for the service being given? You are wrong! Discharge he was a loss to CorporateAmerica, but a good traveling companion.

Wise words of motivation this time
If you want successful businesses, meet customer needs. If you want extraordinary effort, exceeds what the customer expectations.
